Relatively peaceful until late, the city of St. Louis was caught off guard when fighting erupted in their area. The standard fire, medical, and police are called out to the scene but are unable to act. A squad of Slaughter Daggers from the USMP had located and engaged a lone Gundam power armor. Already people flocked to the scene and the police forced are forced to hold them back. "That's the Akatsuki!" One girl shouts as she squeezes by the adults to see what the commotion was. "Why are they attacking him?" The girl was now confused. To her Rangers like the Akatsuki protected them from the Rogues and the barely legal Knights. No one could answer the girl and instead they all just watched angrily. Running behind the Akatsuki was Clint in his Slaughter Dagger. With a beam saber in hand he slashed at the Akatsuki's legs before it turn around to fire a round from its beam rifle. The saber cuts across both legs forcing Jack to one knee. Still Clint is forced to hold up the shield in order to block the Akatsuki's beam rifle. The force is enough to push Clint out of melee range for now. Now charging out of the group Leola in the sword striker pack swung the heavy anti-ship sword at the Akatsuki. "This is never ending," Jack said in-between his heavy breathing. Dropping the beam rifle Jack is forced to pull out the Akatsuki's beam saber to block the downward swing from Leola's attack. The ground cracks under the immense pressure of the attack but the Akatsuki holds. Two beam cannons fold underneath Akatsuki's arms to aim at the Sword Striker Slaughter Dagger. "Back off Leola!" Jimmy shouts as the Launcher Striker's heavy hyper impulse cannon is unleashed. The beam doesn't strike the Akatsuki but instead the ground between it and Sword Striker Slaughter Dagger. Using the force of the resulting explosion Leola is able to evade the attack from the Akatsuki. Firing off the anchor towards the Akatsuki slices it with the beam saber with eases and charges right back at Leola. "Think again buddy." Dakota says as he fires off a round from the electromagnetic cannon. The shot hits home but it is immediately deflected off the Akatsuki. Instead the ground around the Akatsuki is torn up sending debris into the air. "Interesting, let's see you block this!" Clint shouts as the IWSP pack's rail cannons extend forward and fire. Both rounds strike the Akatsuki in the chest and knock the unit over to the ground without being deflected. "Nice." Struggling to get up Jack's heads up display is flashing every warning possible as the Slaughter Daggers slowly surround him. As they get closer Clint's sensors go off. Turning to see what he was alerted to a heavy cement block clocks him in the head. The cement block shatters into pieces but it is enough to force the squad to look around. A large crowd had gather and was growing violent fast. Soon more objects from the street were being tossed at the group from all directions. "Leave him alone!" "What did he do you guys?!" "You are the true menace!" Seeing the crowd begin to close in on them Clint gave the order to withdraw. Even he wasn't about to test a city full of angry Ranger loving people. Jack slowly got up from the rumble around him to see the cheers of numerous people. He smiled but they didn't know it. Result: Clint wins Clint and Squad: +7XP and +6% Synch; 1 Repair Day Jack Verse in Akatsuki: +6XP and +4% Synch; 2 Repair Days |
